
Elisabetta Canepa is an architect and researcher in the Department of Architecture and Design at the University of Genoa. After completing the RESONANCES project (2021–2024) as a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellow, she became the principal investigator of the EU-funded AURA project (2025–2028). Her research examines the intersection of architecture, aesthetics, and cognitive science, with a focus on atmospheric dynamics, the emotional dimension of architectural experience, embodiment theory, the empathic relationship between people and space, and virtual reality experimentation. She also teaches as a lecturer and studio critic in collaboration with the Departments of Architecture at Kansas State University and Florida International University. Elisabetta serves on the Advisory Council of the Academy of Neuroscience for Architecture (ANFA) in San Diego.
