Is a Postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Medicine & Surgery of the University of Parma. Francesca’s research focuses on how the brain generates the experience of the body in space—also known as peripersonal space—by integrating multisensory information.
Specifically, she investigates individual differences in the representation and plasticity of peripersonal space in both healthy individuals and in schizophrenia patients.
Her work aims to uncover how alterations in multisensory integration processes contribute to disturbances in bodily self, offering insights into its neurobiological underpinnings.
